Jared Thomas ‘19 Drafted by Philadelphia Phillies in Round 15 of MLB Draft

2019 alum Jared Thomas became the 24th Orange Lutheran baseball player selected in the Major League Baseball draft after being picked by Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday afternoon in round 15 as pick 463 overall.

Thomas, a catcher, played at Orange Lutheran for one season, helping the Lancers to a league title and to the 2019 National High School Invitational Title.

 

He began his collegiate career at the University of Miami, where he spent two seasons before transferring back to California and landing at Loyola Marymount University.  Over his two seasons at LMU, he played in 85 games, batting .303 with ten home runs and 57 RBIs.
