Exciting Ministry Expansion News

Orange Lutheran High School is excited to announce the acquisition of 3111 N. Tustin St. in Orange, marking a significant step forward in pursuit of its mission to help students internalize the gospel message of salvation in Christ Jesus.

Below, Dr. Mary Scott, CEO/Executive Director, shares the big news:

Expanding OLu’s footprint has been a long-term goal and a topic of prayer for many, many years. In November 2021, the opportunity arose to purchase an office building just a few miles away from campus that offers the ability to reach more students while enriching the experiences that current students have available to them.

Yesterday evening, the sale of the building closed after an eight-month discovery and escrow process, and Orange Lutheran is now the sole owner of the newly renovated 65,000 square foot property.

Over the coming years, the addition of this property will allow Orange Lutheran to:

  • Maintain small class sizes
  • Add or enhance dedicated spaces for dance, esports, music, STEM, missions, and performing arts
  • Open additional campus space by moving non-student-facing offices and staff members off-campus
  • Reduce traffic and parking issues in and around the main campus
  • Create a variety of collaborative workspaces for faculty and staff

In anticipation of questions regarding this purchase and what it means for OLu students and families, we have created an FAQ that will continue to be updated as questions arise. Click here to read additional answers to frequently asked questions. A brief summary includes the following:

  • All students will continue to attend their classes on the main campus or online
  • All teachers and student-facing services (such as Counseling and Student Life) will continue to be easily accessible on the main campus
  • No tuition increase beyond what was agreed upon by the Board of Directors before November 2021
  • The amount of financial aid or scholarships available will not change
  • Facilities on the Main Campus will be remodeled throughout the 22-23 school year

We give thanks to God for providing us with this exciting ministry expansion opportunity.  We appreciate your continued prayers and support as we further God’s Kingdom through our facilities and learning spaces.
