Community Service As A Family

As Orange Lutheran’s fall semester ‘Service to Society’ quickly approaches (November 20th & 21st), it’s rewarding to look at other ways we can contribute to the community. What better way to involve your child in community service then to serve alongside them?

Christmas child 1Types Of Volunteer Jobs To Do As A Family:

There are so many volunteer possibilities that can involve the entire family! Even the smallest child can lend a hand, with adult supervision, of course. Here is a list of some volunteer work that can be done as a family:

  • Pack Operation Christmas Child boxes
  • Lend a helping hand in our Thrift store (Please contact Suzanne Sotelo for more information!)
  • Volunteer at your church

If you are interested in your family helping pack OCC boxes, email to receive links and guidelines, as well as a link to sign-up to serve at the OCC Processing Center.

Our involvement with OCC is in unity with all the Orange County Lutheran Schools so if you have children at one of our partner schools, you can return packed boxes to any of those locations.

Don’t have your student wait until OLu Service Days to lend a helping hand, take the time to get involved as a family in the OLu community!
