20 Lancer Artists Recognized by Biola University

Twenty-seven pieces created by 20 Lancer artists have been selected for exhibition in Biola University’s NEXT:2022 art show. The exhibit, curated by a panel of judges from Biola’s Art Department, will be displayed at the Biola University Library in La Mirada, CA from March 21 – May 7, 2022. “We believe that all students at OLu are creative, as they have been formed in the image of our creative God,” says Jeannie Mooney, Orange Lutheran’s Visual Arts Department Chair. “It means artistry is a teachable skill, which wholeheartedly embraces seeing the world around us with new eyes.”


NEXT:2022 features the accepted works by 28 student artists from three local-area schools: Crean Lutheran High School, Orange Lutheran High School, and Valley Christian High School.

About NEXT:2022

NEXT at Biola University features exemplary works created by current high school students in Southern California, celebrating young Christian artists' creativity and cultivating artistic talent within the Christian community. The juried exhibition is open to submissions from current high school students attending a private Christian high school. Artwork selected by the faculty jury will be on display in the Biola University Library through the spring semester and is eligible for award consideration and scholarship opportunities.

Beth Fitzgerald is Orange Lutheran's Director of Marketing and Communications and proud Orange Lutheran alumna. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from Chapman University and an MA in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University Irvine.
